Interior Layout

Snow wolf has two owner's cabins and a large saloon with separate galley and navigation station.

The rear cabin contains a double berth to port and a large single berth to starboard with a bench seat in between. There is a hanging locker to starboard and above each berth there are large lockers with sliding doors. The en suite bathroom contains a toilet and shower with a heated towel rail on the wall.

In the saloon to port there is a large C shaped sofa surrounding the dining table that can accommodate six to eight people. To starboard there is another sofa that can accommodate a further four people around the dining table. Above the sofas to port and starboard there are outer berths. Both sofas convert to fixed berths and the port sofa can accommodate the tallest person; The tallest person to sleep there so far was seven feet one inch tall!

Forward of the saloon there is a bathroom with a toilet and shower and a heated towel rail on the wall.

The forward cabin contains a vee berth for two people with option to infill the center gab to create a large queen size double bed. There are hanging lockers to port and starboard. The cabin has a sliding door for privacy and another sliding door aft of the forward bathroom which can be shut to create a large private owners en suite forward cabin.

Navigation Station

Just forward of the rear cabin to the starboard side is the dedicated navigation station. Snow Wolf has been fitted out to undertake extended ocean sailing so the communication options are extensive. We have onboard a fixed Inmarsat Fleet Broadband 150 satellite phone which links into the ships navigation computer to receive weather information and emails. To backup the Inmarsat system we have a portable Iridium satellite phone that can also access the internet and has the advantage that it is portable in an emergency and can operate any where in the world including the North and South Poles!

Along with the Icom 603 VHF radio we have an ICOM 802 SSB radio for long range communications. The SSB is connected to a modem and the navigation computer so has the ability to send and receive text emails and collect GRIB file weather information.

The main navigation is done on a computer with a large 22" screen that connects to the Raymarine navigation sensors. The navigation software is Maxsea Explorer with comprehensive 3D charts for all Snow Wolf's cruising areas.

In the galley there is a double sink which has hot and cold mixer tap and a sea water tap for rinsing dishes. Next to the sink is a Quooker boiling water tap to instantly safely provide enough water for upto ten hot drinks 24/7. Under the surface top is a large fridge. Behind the sliding cupboard doors is general storage space and a microwave oven. The cooker, new in 2012, is a top quality English made three burner stove with large oven and full width grill.
